Objective
The DPDP Act was passed by both houses of Parliament and received the assent of the President of India on August 11, 2023. The Act aims to protect personal data (online or offline) and the need to process personal data for lawful purposes. The Act provides for the processing of digital personal data in a manner that recognizes both the right of individuals to protect their personal data and the need to process such personal data for lawful purposes. Individuals and organizations need to understand the intent and features of the act as it applies to every citizen and organization of India. The familiarization with the act in a language understandable by common citizens is the aim of this course.

Outcome
Upon course completion, you'll not only gain a solid understanding of the act but also be able to align your individual and organizational action points towards protection of personal data. Organizations will be able to also ensure compliance to the act lest they end up paying hefty penalties envisioned in the act.
